About Pantaloni, the label & the person.

Pantaloni didn't start with a lifelong dream of creating a fashion brand.

It started with a pair of trousers.

One of my best friends, Max, found them at a small clothing market in Italy. There was only one pair, the quality wasn't great, but I couldn't stop thinking about them. So we thought, why not make them ourselves?

Max was there from the very beginning, but eventually chose to focus on school. Boooring. (Just kidding. She's brilliant and ridiculously stylish.)

I'd never made clothes before. I've tried sewing and knitting, but I don't have the patience for either. Somehow I found a production team, measured Max's trousers, and she even sent her own pair to the factory, where they were completely ripped apart.

I definitely owe her a new pair.

From there, samples travelled back and forth while friends, family and pretty much anyone willing to help tried them on. Different heights, different shapes, different bodies.

Slowly, they became exactly what I'd imagined.

Then one day... they were just right.

For me, clothes have never been about fashion first.

They've always been about how they make you feel.

Comfortable. Confident. A little sexy.

Once the trousers were finished, I realised I'd only done half the job. Suddenly I had to create a logo, a website and a whole visual identity for something that had only existed in my head.

Luckily, I've been surrounded by incredible people who've shared ideas, challenged me and helped bring Pantaloni to life. I'm endlessly grateful for them.

At the same time, I've realised that if Pantaloni is going to become something, it has to feel like me. Advice is valuable but so is trusting your own gut.

I grew up in Aarhus, spending most of my childhood chasing an elite badminton dream and living almost exclusively in sportswear. When that chapter ended, I started travelling and became interested in how I wanted to present myself to the world.

Today I'm studying Communication at the Danish School of Media and Journalism while spending the next chapter of my life in Portugal.

I love running (when I feel like it), saunagus and reformer classes. Moving my body makes me happy, and I want the clothes I wear to move with me not against me.

My mum is a high-school teacher and taught me to stay curious and warm to people. My dad is an engineer and taught me that good things take time whether you're building a company or spending three hours cooking a dinner that should only take you 15 minutes to make.

Pantaloni starts with one pair of trousers.

Maybe one day it'll become a whole wardrobe. Maybe a Reformer studio in LA. Maybe something I haven't even thought of yet.

Who knows.

For now, I'm just making clothes that I hope make people feel comfortable, confident and a little bit sexy.

And I'm having so much fun doing it.

Love,
Alma
